31 Things I’ve Learned in 31 Years

It was my birthday last week and in honor of that I thought I’d share some things I’ve learned over the years:

(in no particular order)

  1. How to craft a story
  2. Dogs and cats make excellent nap pillows
  3. That I have hooded eye-lids (also, youtube make-up tutorials are a god send)
  4. To change a tire
  5. How to properly construct a model rocket
  6. Owning a grey and white cat means you will always have pet hair on your clothing and it will never blend in.
  7. Some people are life-long friends and some are friends for a moment
  8. Cut/dye/shave/etc. your hair the way that makes you happy
  9. When to stay silent
  10. When to speak up
  11. How to knit socks
  12. How to auto-sum in Excell
  13. If you look like you know what you’re doing and that you are supposed to be there, people will usually leave you alone
  14. How to paint a miniature
  15. Living with an ex is a horrible idea
  16. Comics are awesome
  17. Don’t feed the trolls
  18. How to tie a half-hit and bowline
  19. How to bake bread
  20. The rules to several tabletop RPGs
  21. Breaking up with a friend can be harder than breaking up with a significant other
  22. Jobs always seem simpler than they actually are

  24. Never expect the Kickstarter perks to arrive when they initially said they would ship
